In addition to requiring lots of love and attention, your new puppy or kitten needs to meet their veterinarian! Young animals require a lot of vaccines to keep them protected as their immune system develops. Additionally, we like to work closely with you to make sure your pet is in good health as their immature immune systems can make them more susceptible to illness. Even if your little guy is in perfect health, we like to have the opportunity to answer all of your questions about housetraining, socializing, nutrition, training, parasite protection, pet insurance, when to spay/neuter, and more! If you have other pets or children in the household we can give you advice about introducing the newest member of the family. Whether you are a first time owner or a seasoned hand, we hope you can learn something new while you show off your new friend.
When possible, we appreciate you sending any vaccine records ahead of time. If you can’t send them prior to your appointment, then please bring any records you have with you to your first visit so we can review your pet’s vaccine and deworming history and work with you to create an individualized vaccine schedule for your pet.
Give us a call when you get your new puppy or kitten, we are excited to meet the new addition to your family and get you started off on the right foot!
